Strap-bridges  to replace nose pads, adds a lot of comfort

The strap-bridge is the most comfortable frame support system available. Most of the metal frames in this catalog can have the nose-pads replaced with these strap-bridges. They provide a more comfortable frame fit than nose pads, they distribute the weight of the glasses better than nose pads, taking the weight off the sides of your nose and transferring it to the top of the nose. The top of the nose can support considerably more weight comfortably than than the sides of your nose. If you get too much frame weight on nose pads it can even restrict your breathing. There are 3 sizes available, and 2 types in each (not available for Ray-Ban frames that use crimp-on type nose pads).

 Price listed is for one strap bridge. Choose type of mount from drop down box above: 

• Screw-on (most common type, has a tiny screw to hold the pad on the nose pad arm) screws included.
• Snap-in (like Randolph Engineering and some other frames use) has a small box on the end of the nose pad arm that these just plug into. When installing "Snap-in" type pads make sure the little box is clear and the old pad that broke off doesn't have a barb left in the little box, if it does, just dig it out with a needle or pin. The new nose pad or strap bridge should go in easy and you can use pliers to snap them in place.

Then choose the size you need:

•  For very Small frames (bridge width of less than 14mm)
• For Medium frames (bridge width of up to 20mm, about 90% of all frames use this size)
• For Large frames (bridge width of over 22mm)

No strap bridges available for Ray-Ban metals that have "clip-on" prongs.
